Welcome To The Verona Chamber of Commerce
As the new President of the Verona Chamber of Commerce, I welcome you to our website.

The Chamber is here to encourage, support and assist business in Verona. Through the Chamber, members can have their voices heard, as well as having a vehicle for social, cultural and community activities.

We are a non-profit group. Annual dues are the means to cover expenses in communication, social and community events, and problem resolution.

We are here to provide information. We also want to find ways, not only to help local business prosper, but to encourage new business to thrive.

We hope to educate our members and the community. To further that mandate, we (and through us, you as members) have become a member of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce as well.

Take some time to look over this website. Read all about us! You can see the list of current members. Feel free to contact any of the Executive Board members. Our businesses, addresses, phones, faxes and e-mail are open to you. Click on a link to contact any listing.

There is a calendar of events. General Meetings are open to all members, friends and people who are interested in joining.

We have a monthly television show on cable Channel 35 (VTV), the Verona Chamber of Commerce Roundtable. The show informs Verona residents, as well as other cable viewers, about local businesses and local issues. We also make available non-biased information that Verona voters can use to make informed decisions in local elections.

We always are looking to swell the ranks of our members. Chamber membership includes: invitations to general meetings, social events, the chance to appear on Roundtable, newsletter, Membership Certificate and window decal, roster list, listing and link on our website, and a voice in the Verona and New Jersey business communities. And, as time goes by, we hope to offer even more.

In our numbers is our strength. We remind everyone to “Buy Verona, for Verona.”

Mission Statement

Ducks In A Row is a town-wide art project sponsored by the Verona Chamber of Commerce created to promote a spirit of pride in the township, park and businesses.

The two month public art exhibit will visually promote art and culture, showcase local talent, increase pedestrian traffic for the entire Verona business district and offer area businesses that are not located downtown an opportunity to increase their awareness and participation in the community.

What is Ducks In A Row?

  • Ducks In A Row is a public art project that will showcase up to 20, 2 ft. fiberglass duck sculptures, painted and decorated by commissioned artists, throughout various locations in Verona.
  • Artists will be asked to draw on the cultural influences of Verona and beauty of Verona Park to inspire their whimsical designs, thereby creating ducks that bring that story to life.
  • The event will be funded through individual and corporate sponsorships that allow a broad cross-section of the community to contribute.
  • Profits from Ducks In A Row will benefit the Verona Park Conservancy and Art Scholarships for Verona High School Seniors.

Why should the community support this?

  • Ducks In A Row will not only benefit the Verona Park Conservancy it will also help maintain our wonderful asset of Verona Park thereby positively impacting the entire community.
  • Verona Park holds a prominent place in the Essex County Park System.
  • Verona is noted in New Jersey Monthly magazine as the third best place in New Jersey to live, and Verona Park is touted as a major asset of the community.

 How does it work?

  • The call for Sponsors and Artists begins soon and will continue this spring.
  • The Artist Selection Committee will select the winning designs.
  • Sponsors will be officially paired with their artists and unpainted web-footed friends at a “Duck Adoption Party” after which, the artists take delivery of the ducks.
  • Through September and October the Ducks will be on display followed by a Duck Auction in early November.

 Who benefits?

  • EVERYONE! Ducks In A Row is a family-friendly art event that will boost community spirit on all levels.
